Zoos Victoria Wildlife Conservation Master Plan 2019-2024

Zoos Victoria is fighting extinction to secure a future rich in wildlife. In 2019 the Zoos Victoria’s Wildlife Conservation Master Plan 2019-2024 was launched.

This Plan is dedicated to the recovery of threatened native species, tackles the challenges wildlife face both locally and globally, and empowers the community through targeted and measurable campaigns that facilitate pro-conservation behaviours.

The plan outlines the biological and social projects Zoos Victoria will undertake to save these species from extinction and encourage the general public to fight for a future rich in wildlife.

Zoos Victoria’s Wildlife Conservation Master Plan 2019-2024 supports the Victorian Government’s Protecting Victoria’s Environment – Biodiversity 2037 Plan and has shared goals to achieve a healthy environment and to help Victorians value nature.

Australia’s nature, now and into the future, is healthy and resilient to threats, understood, and valued both in its own right and for its essential contribution to our health, wellbeing, prosperity and quality of life.
