The Biodiversity Indicator Program

The Biodiversity Indicator Program tracks the status of biodiversity and ecosystem integrity in NSW over time. Developed in collaboration with leading biodiversity experts from CSIRO, Australian Museum and Macquarie University, the program established a series of indicators to help scientists, managers and policy-makers understand the current status of biodiversity and how likely it is to change in the future. This enables the NSW Government to assess the effectiveness of investments in biodiversity conservation.
